Eindelijk!/Finally!

Het heeft even geduurd, nou ja even, meer dan een jaar, maar ik heb eindelijk een fotoboek gemaakt van Pr1mo’s 52 weken in 2010.
Op bijgaande link is het online resultaat te zien, nu is het wachten nog op het moment dat het boek in de bus valt, ik ben benieuwd.
Door te klikken op volledig scherm is het beter te bekijken.
It took a while, more than a year, but I finally made a photo book of Pr1mo’s 52 weeks in 2010.

Sinds kort heb ik een klein studiosetje, 3 studiolampen met 2 softboxen en 1 snoot. De achtergrondwand heb ik nog niet gebruikt, maar dat zal ongetwijfeld een dezer dagen gaan gebeuren. Leuk speelgoed en aangezien ik altijd 2 harige modellen voorhanden heb, waren die natuurlijk de pineut.
A couple of weeks ago I bought a little studio set with 3 lamps, 2 soft boxes and 1 snoot. The background hasn’t been used that, but without a doubt will be very soon.
Great stuff to play around with and because I’ve got 2 hairy models they were the first ones to take a test drive

Lens onder de aandacht/Lens in the spotlight

Tijd om eens iets over lenzen te praten.
Ik heb er niet zo veel, maar die ik heb vind ik allemaal even prettig.
Laten we beginnen met de meest vreemde eend in de bijt, de Helios 44-2/58 mm f/2.0.
Een Russisch lensje van zeker 30 jaar oud, geen autofocus, alles moet handmatig gefocust worden.
Het was even wennen deze lens, maar het is inmiddels stevige liefde. Actiefoto’s kan ik er eigenlijk niet mee maken, dat vind ik te moeilijk, maar de rest gaat best goed.
Eigenlijk gebruik ik hem het meest op f/2.8, dus bijna wijd open, en elke keer ben ik weer verbaasd over de scherpte. Maar het meest mooie aan foto’s gemaakt met deze lens vind ik het bokeh. Het is enorm draaierig en daar moet je van houden, maar ik vind de effecten ervan erg leuk.
Time to talk about lenses.
I don’t have a lot of them, but I like them all.
Lets start with the most typical lens I’ve got, the Helios 44-2/58 mm f/2.0.
A Russian lens from at least 30 years old and manual focus.
It took a while for me to adjust to this one, but now I love it. Action shots are hard to take with it, for me that is, but the rest goes fine. Most of the time I use it at f/2.8, almost wide open and every time I’m surprised about the sharp focus. The best thing about this lens is its wild, whirly bokeh. You love it or you hate it.

De eerste/The first one

Sinds kort hebben we wat eigen foto’s in de gastenkamers hangen. Leuk natuurlijk om de kamer op te fleuren, maar de gasten kunnen ze ook kopen als ze dat willen.
En….. een gast vond een foto erg leuk en wilde die dus graag kopen.
Hoera, m’n eerste foto verkocht, gek gevoel maar ook leuk natuurlijk. Geprint op 50 x 75 cm ziet het er goed uit.

A couple of weeks ago I sold my first picture! We’ve printed some of our photo’s and hung them on the walls in the rooms for the guests.
One of them liked my picture very much and bought it. Great feeling and it looked very good printed on 50 x 75 cm

Ik had hem voor Pr1mo gekocht, maar Rocco vind hem zo leuk, dat we Pr1mo er niet meer mee laten spelen.
I bought it for Pr1mo, but Rocco likes it very much, so we don’t let Pr1mo play with it anymore

Geen kwalitatief hoogstaande foto’s, maar Rocco’s speelmomenten zijn altijd zo kort, dat dit soort dingen gewoon genieten zijn voor ons.
Not really high quality pictures, but Rocco doesn’t play that much or long, so these kind of things are special to us.
